WHO WE ARE

Why the name Sangai?

Sangai means together in Nepali.

"We are together" is a common expression used in Benin to express its involvement in a project. It is a motivational and grouping phrase.

But why in Nepali?

One of our founders, Emeline, took her first steps in development with the Nepalese communities in the small village of Chitrasari.
Located in south Nepal, it is one of the gateways to the magnificent Chitwan National Park.
It's the place where she learned to smile and listen.
These two characteristics are today's strengths in developing your projects.

This name is the meeting, the link, of the two countries, of the two experiences that gave birth to Sangai.

Our values

The ones that matter to us

The enterprise's commitment to direct its actions towards contributing to social, economic, and environmental improvement.

We want to be aware of our actions; we put people and the environment at the center of our work.

Who acts with equity, fairness, and impartiality.

We want to propose, produce, and create fair services, experiences, and products. Equitability is a notion of community, sharing, and fair compensation. We offer solutions where everyone wins.

Intuitive faculty to put oneself in the place of others, to perceive what they feel.

We listen, and we understand your needs. Our actions take into account the cultures and traditions that surround us.

To have an impact, an effect, an effect produced by something.

We want to act by creating positive change. Our fundamental goal is to generate impacts for people and the environment.

Undertake an action, participate in it; launch out, take a clear position, in particular on political, social, and economic problems

We are together for change! We believe strongly in our vision! And for that, we will be at 200% in your projects and will not let go!

Sangai commits,

Being a company is about more than just generating revenue.

It must have an impact !

Sangai acts for the SDGs:

  • Number 1, No Poverty
  • Number 8, Decent work and economic growth
  • Number 12, Responsible consumption and production
  • And understands the importance of the 17, so we won't leave them out!

Sangai is also a member of the Think Tank RSE to help move the frontiers of RSE in Africa and Europe!

Emeline Beneult

Sangai Managing Director

After studying business management, specializing in tourism development, she worked in business development and tourism experience development for six years in Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on responsibility and community involvement. She then joined the African Parks Network team to work for the W Benin National Park as Director of Business and Tourism Development.

For a year, she worked with the communities of northern Benin, starting by identifying their resources. Then, with the creation of the Pure W Bénin brand, she marketed various processed products on the outskirts of the Park in Cotonou. She also laid the foundations for a project to market baobab powder from the Park.

In her view, these different experiences have raised the problem of accessible, conscious, and responsible commercial development for all projects. Sangai is the solution, she believes, for reconciling the generation of income with social and environmental impact, all at the same time, without having to make a choice.

The world we live in is a challenge that she wants to address with her strengths, and she has a strong sense of empathy and motivation.

His favorite quote is, "The baobabs, before growing up, start by being small." Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince.
